Railroad Construction Company of Texas, Inc. is seeking a motivated and highly organized team player to provide administrative support to our Texas regional office. If you’re passionate about construction, eager to gain hands-on experience, and ready to grow your career, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to
-
Provide general administrative support including scheduling, travel coordination, filing, and clerical duties

Assist new hires with onboarding paperwork for processing at headquarters
-
Prepare and manage bid solicitations, collaborate with estimators, and track bid responses
-
Maintain contractor/vendor databases and distribute project updates and documentation
-
Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements (e.g., NDAs)
-
Manage document control, including submittals and RFIs
-
Record meeting minutes and distribute correspondence
-
Track and maintain timesheets
-
Maintain tracking spreadsheets and logs in Excel
-
Process purchase orders and reconcile credit card transactions
-
Review material and subcontractor invoices for accuracy
-
Generate subcontractor payment requisitions
Qualifications
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
-
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience (construction industry preferred)
-
Familiarity with construction terminology and bid processes is a plus
-
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
-
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
-
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
-
Experience with construction software platforms such as SmartBid, Bluebeam, Vista, Procure, E-Builder, and Concur preferred
-
Strong computer and phone skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
